Border Collies, a herding breed, are high-energy to say the least. Sometimes they are even a little too smart for their own good. This is only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to things ONLY Border Collie parents understand!
1. Their silliness is simply another way to show their parents love.
2. Unless there’s bacon involved. Then Collies are silly for bacon.

3. Border Collie parents understand that their dogs need constant stimulation to keep them out of trouble.
4. Darco spends hours a day with his Kong, one of the most popular toys of all-time. (And often included in our Bullymake Boxes!).

5. Along with Collies’ herding instincts comes a strong love of running.
6. Even Abby, the Collie pup, can’t help but frolic.

7. Jazz and Bonnie are not only sisters: they’re also BFFs.
8. Collie parents also get that their pups adore fun hobbies, such as Frisbee.

9. However, this Collie prefers acting as security for all of those evil snowmen.
10. Most of all, Collies adore naps and snuggles.

We have had 3 Border Collies, 2 of which were just like the ones shown in this article. Our current one is a rescue of which we have no background info but who jumped into our arms and loved us immediately. However she didn't know how to play but did already understand her basic commands.
When my husband had a stroke, she seemed to know what to do & how to act. I would take her to visit all day with him at the hospital and rehab nursing home. She is now his Service Dog. Although we self certified, we watched the video of what a Service Dog was required to know, and she knew every one.
There is nothing like a Border Collie.
Except mine won't cuddle
Neither will mine. She will nap with me
My border doesn't like to cuddle either?
The 14th is the focus! Mine gets focused on another animal and it is hard to break through. The high energy and running omg but the loyal and loving part too. I take him to sheep herding training and it is amazing to watch those instincts kick in.
Our Border Collie reminds us every day that she is true to her breed...that is one of the reasons we love her so much!! Her day isn't complete until she climbs onto our lap, and makes sure to hug & snuggle thru the night ❤️?
