Me like happy Bulldog. You like happy Bulldog. Bulldog like happy Bulldog.
Let’s just jump right into it, shall we?
1. Get off your gersh dern butt, and give ’em some exercise!
Yeah, I know, sometimes it’s easier to sit there and binge watch “House.” But an American Bulldog does need to exercise to keep the pooch mentally stimulated and physically fit!
2. Clean the folds.
If you are an American Bulldog owner, chances are you already know this. But make sure you do it. Somebody once asked me what it smells like, and the best answer I could come up with is “Doggy B.O.” Although their folds aren’t nearly as bad as their English and French Bulldog counterparts, they should be cleaned.
3. Teach them stuff.
Although being stubborn, American Bulldogs do like to learn and be taught. Recently I taught my American Bully to go in the crate. You know how I did it? I sat there and threw Cheetos in the back of the crate and said “crate.” Guess what? Now he LOVES the crate (and a plethora of Cheetos). ‘Course, I know he doesn’t have allergies to this kind of stuff.
4. Let them socialize.
This applies to any dog breed, but dogs really love to socialize with other dogs. It’s hugely beneficial to a dog’s mental health.
5. Give ’em good toys.
American Bulldogs freakin’ LOVE chew toys (and really any toy). However, they can get bored with toys and/or destroy them SUPER easily (you knew that).
Oh, wait, what is that I hear? There is an awesome product for that, specifically made for power chewers?!? Check out our Bullymake Boxes:
Yeah, dogs love this stuff – especially American Bulldogs.
6. Show some love!
Not like that’s all that difficult. How can you resist that beast of a dog? (who’s secretly a couch potato).
7. Introduce new activities.
Sometimes taking them for a walk can get old. Introduce new activities like hide and seek, tug of war, fetch, etc.
8. Groom.
Although your Bully might be stubborn and fight it, they secretly like being groomed. Clean the ears and coat, clip the nails, clean the eyes – and of course, clean the face.
9. Avoid Rawhide like the plague.
Never, ever, ever, give your American Bulldog rawhide. It is a huge choking and digestive hazard among many breeds. We never send rawhide here at Bullymake.

Wow John. Very sorry, looks like the link was broken. It's now working as intended. Thank you for pointing that out!
Help..how do make my bully stop chewing the couch I am on my 3rd couch. Besides that she is a good dog well behaved and smart.
Red pepper...place it there...He'll only do it one more time..lol
There is a product that they sell in any pet store is a spray I can recall the name but if you spray it once they won't ever chew it again. I did this to my A bulldog .

Man I miss my American Bulldog, Stacey... She passed away on 3/11/15... I still cry every day. She was my best friend, SUUUPER LOYAL, GREAT WITH MY 3 KIDS, and a great mother figure when we got our pitebull puppy, Bella... Cherish your AB's... Enjoy every second. I have an 85lb hole in my soul since I lost her....
I feel your pain my tatermae passed away July 11th 2015 I had her since she. was a puppy she,was my best true friend ever I miss her everyday yes and still cry recently got a male English bully it's just not the same love
What should I give instead of rawhide? I bought the cow hooves but they smell like dog pee :( She needs to chew but I don't want her to get hurt. Thank you.
Bully sticks. My pup is an aggressive chewer, but Bully sticks were perfect!
Antlers work great!!!
Watch antlers!!your dogs teeth will break before the antler will
Dont purchase kong products. Your dogs tongue may become stuck in the hole that your supposed to stuff with treats. Ending in some very bad results.
A better alternative is the nylabone, tuff chewers line. Amazing strength and my pooch goes nuts over em. He,s almost a year and a half and one of his puppy nylabones are still kickin. Oh amd you really shouldnt feed your dog cheetos and cheeseburgers. Avoid any non-organic "human food". I give my dog human food he loves all the time but its always no gmo full organic meat and veggies. Never cheese and never anything processed. Triton is a lean mean pulling machine and he actually stops traffic with how insanely healthy looking he is.
My AB "Trey" has enjoyed the treats and toys from the Bullymake box. He got a treat holder with a string tail he holds onto that is a particular favorite. My AB loves to grab and shake things. I'm trying to figure out a toy he can use for that activity. He will tear through any cloth toy after his "shake and bake" action.
My AB loves the Jolly Balls with the rope through the middle. I buy the 6" ball because the rope doesn't pull through the hole Luke with the 8" balls.
whats the best thing to clean/breakup the tear duct stains..we have 2 old english bulldogs. they are 14 month old sisters..one has a somewhat english muzzel...more compacted then most oeb's..what would you recommend..thank you , richard and michelle
Coconut oil rubbed into the stains a couple times a week.
Best breed I've ever had. My beast is 2 1/2 and he just had his first TPLO surgery. Bully Boxes kept him entertained the 3 months of downtime.
How do I keep him white!!! He has all kinds of skin allergies! Any suggestions?

If you wash them with a little bit of baking soda mixed into his shampoo that will help. Plus it nullifies some of the horrible (they do STINK) smell. But one trick for totally killing the smell is to add a tablespoon of all natural FAGE yogurt to his food everytime you feed him. It will get expensive. That stuff is insanely expensive. But, within 3 weeks that smell will be gone and it wont come back. UNLESS, you forget to put the yogurt in his food. In which case it takes about a week and that smell will knock you over again. It has something to do with their digestion. The other thing the yogurt will do is regulate your dog going potty. And trust me, they will appreciate that. AB's tend to poop with the best of em!
My AB is almost 3 and we're having problems with her interacting with other dogs :( She was at the dog park a few times, then the last time she got into a scuffle with a smaller dog ( who was the aggressor) Ever since then, she isn't too friendly with other dogs, and i'm scared to go to the dog ark again. Any suggestions
Where can I find a red harness like the one pictured above? It's absolutely beautiful!
I have a 5 month old AB and she refuses to be potty trained. Petrified of the cage aswell. Any suggestions
